Last One, Best One!

 Hello Friends!

This week was an amazing week of personal revelation. I love the gospel so much and I love learning!

This week we had transfers! I was terrified that Sister Liper would transfer, but God is so good. Sister Liper and I will be together for my last transfer of my mission. I am so excited to just get to work and love the people here. There is work to be done! I can’t wait to see what this transfer will bring and the ways that I will grow.

One of my favorite things this week was I got to bake a cake for one of the members here! It was so fun to be able to serve. I love baking and it was awesome that I could use my talents to bless someone else!

God taught me a lot this week. Maybe He knew that I was feeling like I needed this to be the best transfer of my mission, but we started strong. I was able to have one of the best studies of my mission the day after transfers. In this study, God helped me see where I can improve as a missionary and how to give just a little bit more. He helped me reflect on what I have done and who I have become, but he also helped me see where He can take me if I let him. I testify that God is aware of each of us and our needs!

After this incredible experience, my companion and I got to work. The miracles started pouring in almost immediately. That day, as we went to our area, we were able to find a lot of people who wanted to hear about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our work felt led by the Spirit and sacred. I felt like I was able to take the things that God was teaching me and apply it. It was amazing to see the outcomes. I cannot wait to continue to try and improve.

Last week, all of you got to watch General Conference in America, and I was completely jealous! But we finally got to watch it this week and I am so happy. I feel so spiritually filled. I cannot wait to go back and study the talks further. I know that God wants to teach me a lot.

The biggest theme that I noticed from General Conference is that of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and our divine identity. I loved so many of the talks. But I felt that God was truly aware of me as I listened to conference. He knew exactly what I needed to hear.

I especially loved the talk “God’s Favorite” by Karl D. Hirst. In it, he talked about how God loves all of us no matter where we are or what we are working on. He talked about how we can and should feel that love, then when we do feel God’s love, we need to share it. He said:

“If you do feel filled with love in this season of your life, please try and hold on to it as effectively as a sieve holds water. Splash it everywhere you go. One of the miracles of the divine economy is that when we try to share Jesus’s love, we find ourselves being filled up in a variation of the principle that ‘whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it’.”

I love this idea. When we feel the love of Christ in our lives, we need to share it with others! The love of Christ is truly the way to find true joy.

I am so grateful for all the things I learned this week. I love serving. I love the gospel. I am finding so much joy here in the Philippines. I am ready to have the best transfer of my mission, sharing God’s love with His children.

Have a great week!
The church is true, God loves you,
Be happy, Be brave, Be smart,
Love,
Sister Miller
